Curious Caterer - Dying For Chocolate

Dying For Chocolate is the first movie in the hallmark mystery series Curious Caterer. Gist of the story - Goldy has started a new catering business and after one of her gigs, she finds out her friend has died. At the crime scene, she meets the new detective in town, Tom.. In the beginning of the movie, Tom is kinda douchey lol. Obviously it’s because he’s mr hotshot detective but as the movie continues, he becomes a fun character. And I have a feeling as the series goes on, I will like him more and more. 

But on a side note.. Why is every character cocky? Ughh it drives me nuts lmao. I like how caring Goldy is and that she’s willing and wanting to get to the bottom of what happened and to catch the killer. The way she snoops is smart and honestly kinda funny. Like standing outside pretty much in plain sight and no one notices her eavesdropping. Goldy’s ex husband Richard, is a great side character! Even though he and Goldy are divorced, they are still on good terms and want to see each other succeed. Doing what he can to help Goldy and Tom solve cases. 

The storyline is well written and didn’t find any major plot holes! Not even five minutes in and everyone looks suspicious. About halfway through, I started to guess who the killer was just based on actions. And at the end my suspicion was confirmed lmao. 

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I'm eager to watch the rest of the series!
